Karen has been at YFC since 2001. She came to YFC after being a DSHS social worker for 13 years. She specializes in working with children who are going to be adopted by their foster parents, or who are not going to be able to return to their biological parents.
In addition, she provides adoptive home studies for YFC families who are seeking to adopt. Karen also educates YFC's foster families and the community about the adoption of foster children. Karen has personal experience as a foster and adoptive parent.
