Porsha was born and raised here in Tacoma. She is a single mom of a gorgeous 3 ½ year old named Myles
She graduated from Wilson high in 2001and is currently attending TCC with plans to eventually transfer into a four year college. Her plan is to become a physical therapist but Gods plan may be something else. No matter what, she wants to follow Gods plan.
Porsha came to YFC for temporary work experience through Youth Building Tacoma. At the end of her temporary work experience, she was asked to stay on as our afternoon receptionist. She was so excited because as she put it, “I did not want to leave such a wonderful place with wonderful people. So here I am”
She loves the mission of YFC and wants all people to know about Jesus. She loves doing hair, and is a licensed cosmetologist. On her time off she spends as much time as she can with her little boy Myles. Porsha says,” I really enjoy being a mommy and feel even though I am working on myself with school and work my first priority is Myles.”
