Campus Life
The YFC Campus Life ministry combines healthy relationships with creative programs to help senior high and middle school young people make good choices, establish a solid foundation for life, and positively impact their schools. Like every ministry of YFC, Campus Life seeks to engage these young people wherever they are found as life-long followers of Jesus Christ. Click here for more.
Foster Care
Tacoma Youth for Christ Foster Care is a private agency licensed by the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) in Washington State to provide temporary or permanent out of home care for children and youth, ages 0-18 years. Our Foster Care department also assists in foster adoption for many of these children. Click here for more.
Parenting Workshops
In 1994, under the direction of Directors Tim Skrivan and Pastor Rich Hamlin, the YFC "Breaking Free" Parenting Workshop was birthed. The six-week program is overseen by Judy Schmidtke who organizes registration, meals, classes, small groups, and childcare. The curriculum is skill-based, practical, and presented interactively. Youth Guidance is the ministry of Youth for Christ that works with at-risk young people that are often outside the scope and reach of mainstream ministry. Whether at the skate park, in the neighborhood or at the juvenile detention facility YFC believes in the power of connecting these hurting young people with caring Christian adults.
