Pray
A foundation of the ministry of Youth for Christ is prayer. In fact, one of the "Five Essentials of Fruitful and Sustainable Ministry Sites" for YFC ministry centers nationwide is Widespread Prayer: we deliberately engage lots of Christians to intercede on behalf of the ministry site. We know that any "eternal" work will only happen when we seek God's will and direction for this ministry. That is why we value having people who pray for this ministry.
Each YFC ministry site (high school or middle school Campus Life club, Youth Guidance site, Parenting Workshop, etc.) is surrounded by a team of 5-10 adults who commit to pray regularly for that site, the staff who minister to kids there, and for the young people we are pursuing to engage in the life long journey of following Jesus Christ. We call these our Ministry Support Teams (MST). Each YFC ministry site director communicates regularly with the MST, passing on specific prayer requests. The following ministry sites currently have MST's:
- Truman Middle School
- Gault MS
- Stewart MS
- Lochburn MS
- Mann MS
- Wilson HS
- Fife HS
- Lakes HS
- Clover Park HS
- Foster Care
- Youth Guidance/Remann Hall
- Deaf Teen Quest
- Parenting Workshops
- Golf Events
- Administration
- Executive Director
