Ways to Volunteer
Tacoma Youth for Christ mobilizes over 500 volunteers each year to reach young people and families across Pierce County. In fact, we're the # 1 YFC chapter in the entire country when it comes to equipping and moblizing volunteers! One of our values is Empowering Adults, strategically developing leaders to reach young people from every people group.
- Do you love kids? Do you love Jesus Christ? If you answered "yes" then we need you to help us make an eternal impact in the lives of young people across Pierce County! Our volunteers typically commit 4-6 hours each week in relational ministry and receive excellent training through YFC in relationship building, sharing the gospel, and much more.

- Do you have a heart for campus ministry? Check out our Campus Life outreaches to middle school and high school students
- Do you desire to help families in parenting skills? See our Parenting Workshops.
- Do you want to help deaf or hard of hearing young people find a place of significance through a relationship with Jesus Christ? Find out about our Deaf Teen Quest outreach.
- Are you interested in ministering to kids through being a foster parent? See our extensive state licenced Foster Care program , currently with nearly 70 kids in 70 foster homes!
- YFC puts on several events throughout the year: Annual Fundraising auction, Pastors' Masters golf tourney, Golf Marathons, Golf Tournaments and more. Check out our Events page for more info on how you may be involved.
At Youth for Christ our vision is to connect Christian adults and student leaders with young people and their families so that they may hear and see a relationship with the God of the Universe who changes lives. As Jesus said in Matthew 9:37 "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send workers into his harvest field."
