Chrisy was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up in Gig Harbor playing soccer, running track, and taking photos at every opportunity. She has an amazing mom, dad, and two brothers who have supported her faithfully in prayer. Through a camp she attended on the Oregon Coast, she came to have a deep friendship with God! She learned that Jesus Christ had taken on all her sin so she could know her Father in heaven!! To know God and have a relationship with Him is so amazing to her!!
After High School, she studied Architecture in college where God burdened her heart for those who didn't know him. He gave to her the opportunity to travel to Slovenia and spend time there with girls who were looking to men, drugs, and alcohol to fill the emptiness in their hearts. She wanted to minister to these young ladies, but God had other plans.
After Chrisy graduated from College, God placed her in a church that shared their vision with her to see the people of Tacoma restored and come to know the love of Jesus. At this point she was led to start volunteering at Remann Hall through Youth for Christ. In Chrisy words,” God broke my heart for the young ladies at Remann Hall. I found that the same girls I met in Slovenia were in my backyard here in Tacoma. I felt God wanted me to share his love with them at this time.”
A year into volunteering at Remann Hall, Chrisy left her career in Architecture to focus on helping the broken youth in Tacoma full time. She is now on Staff with Youth for Christ. Again in her own words, “It's a joy to see these girls start to believe the destiny God has for them and help them encounter God. Because of the love God has so graciously showered on me, I can show His love to others!!”
