LAUREN NELSON    // Foster Care Case Aide //

Lauren Nelson was born in Oakland CA and moved to Washington to go to college at Pacific Lutheran University. She graduated from PLU in 2002.

She came to work in Foster Care at YFC in 2003 because she has a great love for foster teens. She loved working with the YFC staff and foster parents and seeing their love for kids and their devotion to Christ’s calling for their lives. She worked as a case manager for 3 years but is now only working one day a week because she is a full time mom to a new little daughter named Kyah.

Lauren came to know Jesus at a young age, but really gave her whole life and devotion to Him during an outreach event her freshman year of college. She has continued to grow and learn. She describes her life as she daily learns how to be more like Christ as “the biggest adventure”.
