PETER WILLIAMS

I am twenty-seven years old and originally from Salinas, CA. I am married to my beautiful wife Deborah, and I have two sons Judah and Benjamin (Ben was actually born at home before we could ever even get to the car to drive anywhere and I caught him!). My wife and I felt called to Tacoma in 2007, wanting to be a part of a movement among youth that we believe is going to happen in Tacoma. I was ministering as an assistant youth pastor in Salinas, but felt like I was supposed to be somewhere else.

I went to five different colleges and some seminary. I graduated with a degree in pastoral ministry. However, I wanted to have more contact with students who did not know Jesus. Through some divine circumstances God placed me as a teacher at Washington high school in Parkland. After God had already begun some amazing ministry, we realized that we needed to serve and learn from a trusted organization?and that is how we became a part of the Campus Life/YFC team.

God has given us a heart to reach a multitude of students. The advantage of being a teacher and doing Campus Life is that I already have a job that puts me in contact with students everyday. This has been awesome for our Campus Life club which just started in the Fall of 2009. God has already done some amazing things and he is going to continue to do them among students!
