Kerry Ann Shaughnessy

Case Manager/Receiving Care Coordinator

Kerry Ann found God’s calling to serve children in the foster care system while pursuing an education to work with traumatized children. With a variety of career endeavors completed, the calling to work with children became clear as she approached middle age. Kerry Ann made a shift in life direction to follow God’s calling to serve victimized children. After completing a Masters Degree in Social Work at the University of Washington, she started a career with Child Protective Services at DCFS in Tacoma. After eight years there, her contacts with Christian Agencies spurred her on to working in Ministry. Kerry Ann came to Youth for Christ at the end of 2007 and is currently serving as the Receiving Care Coordinator and Incredible Years Parent Program instructor. In addition to an Masters in Social Work she has post graduate certification in Foster Care and Adoptions Therapy.
