It’s hard to believe that 2008 is winding down and 2009 is just around the corner.  What a year it has been for Tacoma YFC…our best ever!  At our annual Christmas party at Ed and Stacey Ogle’s house 50 of us crowded into their family room to play a few games, sing Christmas carols and take a few minutes to look back on God’s faithfulness in 2008.  Here are some highlights we shared:

• We added 9 new ministry sites across Pierce County…places like Frontier Middle School in Graham, Mason Middle School, and Oakland Teen Parents
• We added 15 new staff: Kyle Nelson, Nate Duriga, Shelly Rydman, Sarah Snodgrass and Charisa Nicholas to name a few
• We saw the Lord bring $230,000 to the Tillicum Youth and Family Center project (see the web page for more info) and remodeling has begun towards an anticipated April 2009 Grand Opening!
• We added 6 new Board members: Jon Carr, Susan Clarke, Bo Teodoro, Chad Allen, Don Baker and Christy Allen.
• We worked with over 3,300 young people and families this year with over 300 people making commitments to follow Jesus Christ!

To all of you who have prayed for, financially supported and partnered with Tacoma Area YFCthis year…thank you.  We are so grateful for your investment in young people through this ministry and look forward to a great 2009!
