Diedre Baker Foster Care Support Dinner Child-Care Coordinator Diedre Baker was born and raised in Washington. She is married and has a four year old daughter and an almost one year old son.
She graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1997 and began working as a Case Manager for foster care at YFC in 1998. After working for a few years at Youth for Christ she went back to school to get her teaching certificate. She taught middle school for 5 years, and is currently taking a leave of absence to care for her children. She began working part-time for Youth for Christ again in the fall of 2007 coordinating volunteers to provide childcare for the foster care support dinners. She is happy to be able to support foster families in their ministry to children in need.
Diedre is thankful to have been raised in a Christian home where she learned early on about God’s love for her through Jesus. Through Bible study during her college years, she became more convicted of what she believed and the faith she had been taught became her own.
